The following is an excerpt from Rob’s book, Wired for Change by a Journeyman.
Goals are started with the end in mind and are your road map to life. The first thing to do with a goal is to start and know you are going to finish. “I choose” means allowing yourself to start the manifestation of your desired goal. “I choose” puts you at choice in the thought process when making decisions in your life. “I choose” is empowering language to God and the universe to manifest your dreams, goals, and desires.
When traveling to a new places, do you get a map or tour guide, or do you just take off and go? Life is like a super highway, but you have to have a starting point with the destination in mind.
Goals on paper are something you are going to do. Goals that you keep in your head and don’t write down are the same as procrastination. When you say “I am going to do that some day” and don’t put it down on paper, you will never do IT.
Goals mean allowing abundance in your life. Therefore, setting goals is the most important thing you can do for yourself. The main thing about goals is that they will get you out of your comfort zone and make your goals reachable.
Start with small goals, then each time make your goals a little bigger and a little harder to get.
Life without goals is like Disneyland without Mickey Mouse. You plan your yearly vacations. Why don’t you sit down and plan your life?
